DMZ Tour, an experience you can only have in the divided nation of Korea

Imjingak Peace Nuri Park

Imjingak is a space created with the hope of reconciliation and unification between North and South Korea. As a representative peace tourism site in South Korea, a train that ran to the northernmost part of the Korean peninsula before the two Koreas were divided is on display here, and as it is one of the regions in South Korea closest to North Korea, it is also a place where separated families and settlers who miss their families visit during holidays and anniversaries to soothe their longing.

Imjingak, where you can still feel the vivid pain of war with the U.S. military participation monument and other war memorials and war relics, has been transformed into a complex tourist facility with exhibition halls related to the Korean War, amusement facilities, and a peace gondola. It is a representative attraction of the DMZ tour, which means adding a wish for peace on top of the pain.

The Korean War is not over yet

On the tour, you can experience a course that goes 265m deep into the Third Tunnel. It is a tunnel that North Korea actually dug to carry out a surprise attack to infiltrate South Korea. You can see it for yourself and feel the temperature and humidity of the tunnel, which gives you an idea of the cold relationship between the two Koreas. It is said that it was built to be able to move 30,000 troops per hour, which makes it feel even more threatening.

North Korea, a close but distant country seen with your own eyes

Near the 3rd Tunnel is the Dorasan Observatory. The Dorasan Observatory is located at the northernmost point of the Military Demarcation Line on the Western Front and has the title of a unification security tourism site.

This observatory, which has dozens of telescopes installed, offers a clear view of North Korea's Kaesong City and Songaksan Mountain, including the Kaesong Industrial Complex and the statue of Kim Il-sung, which we are familiar with. It will be an experience of witnessing with your own eyes the North Korea that you have only seen in the media.

• The information you provide when making a reservation will be used to reserve a tour and shared with the Paju City DMZ Peace Tourism Center.
• When purchasing, you are deemed to have agreed to the collection and provision of the above personal information, and the travel agency will destroy the information after the tour ends.
• Please make sure to bring your ID, as you will not be able to participate in the tour without it.
• Foreign participants must bring their passport, alien registration card, or US military ID card, and domestic participants must bring their ID card (minors may bring their student ID card, but ID is not required if accompanied by a guardian).
• Because it is a military area, identification verification is required, and cancellation requests due to issues with identification (expiration of stay, damage, etc.) within the cancellation fee incurrence period are not grounds for a refund, so please check in advance.
• On days when congestion is expected, we may depart earlier than the current meeting time. In this case, you will be notified separately via KakaoTalk or text message. Please gather based on the notified time, not the time indicated on the product.
• The tour bus will depart on time. Those who fail to arrive on time will not be contacted separately and will be treated as a NO-SHOW on the day.
• In case of NO-SHOW, no refunds will be given.
• Entry may be prohibited without prior notice due to weather conditions or military reasons within the DMZ. In this case, the tour fee will not be refunded and an alternative course will be conducted. (Alternative course: Imjingak Park > Dokgae Bridge > BEAT 131 Art Space > Odusan Observatory > War Memorial of Korea disband)
• This tour departs every Tuesday through Sunday, and is not operated on Mondays, public holidays, or the day of a public holiday.
• Communication regarding this product will be conducted via email, so please be sure to check your email.
• This product is an English guided tour. However, if only Koreans participate, the tour will be conducted in Korean.
• Please purchase the correct quantity and number of participants.
• The tour may not proceed if the minimum number of participants is not met.
• This tour is open to all nationalities.
• Infants under 24 months can enter for free, but will not be provided with a separate seat.
• Minors may enter only when accompanied by a guardian.
• Reservations must be made at least 3 days prior to the tour date. (Based on 5 business days a week)
• The schedule may change due to traffic and weather conditions.
• The tour end time is the estimated time and may be delayed depending on local congestion and traffic conditions.
• DMZ does not accept reservations, and tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the visit. Please understand that you can only find out the admission time on-site on the day of the visit.
• When visiting the DMZ, a guide will handle ticket sales, and participants can tour the park or enjoy free time.
• As this is a military area, drinking and personal behavior are prohibited.
• The Third Tunnel is a tunnel dug by the North Korean military in preparation for an invasion. Tall people should bend their heads as they enter, so please be aware of this in advance, and people with neck or back problems should be careful.
• The 3rd Tunnel Monorail is not in use.
• Elderly people or those with health issues (such as claustrophobia, heart disease, or asthma) should be cautious when touring the tunnels.
• Wheelchair access is not available.
• This tour does not visit the Joint Security Area (JSA).
• Please understand that we do not provide guide contact information as guides run different tours every day and personal contact would cause significant disruption to the tour progress.
• Lunch is not included during the tour and no separate meal times are provided.
• You may want to snack during your free time, so it would be helpful to bring a light snack with you.
